Hello again. I also have a starting issue with the 89 380 SEL. It is VERY DIFFICULT to start. It cranks smoothly but you must do so for 12 to 20 seconds before it begins to start. When you let go of the ignition it dies. I have replace the fuel pump, filter, fuel distributor, plugs, and wires. I took it to the Benz house and for $600.00 the replaced the plugs and said it was good to go. They brought the car to me, already running, and I drove 100 miles home only to find the same issue the next day. If you crank, and crank, and crank it will eventually start, spew alot of exhaust emissions and then run quite well. Please help. Thanks in advance. Steve
