Hi-Great Forum!

Can anyone tell me why I can't find a service manual for my '86 300E? I see 300CD,300CE,300SE,etc.... but no 300E! Is it the same book or what?

Go to your local napa or checkers, and ask them if they can order a repair manual for a 86 mercedes benz 300E, they had to order mine specially (76 300D)

Thanks Nate, but I am a store manager at Kragen(Checker) auto parts. The manual for these era cars specifically excludes my model.

Anyone else?

 

I posted a similar question, I was also looking for my cars shop manual, I called up benz and they only had it on dvd for 175. However another member responded to my post (aharley1, thanks) and gave me this website and they claim they have mine. I also just checked for your model and they have it as well. I contacted the company via email with concerns about the quality of these books and who they are made by, still waiting for a response. Here is the website

Hi, I too have an 86' 300E. I ordered the manual from manualsunlimited.com on a recommendation from the Forum. However, its been 3 weeks and no manual. I would wait to order until I can get back with you to confirm the quality. They have responded to my e-mails; but I am having a hard time believing their excuse that the Post Office commonly takes this long.
By the way, ever done a waterpump on the 300E?
