Default '83 tie rod end

need to figure out which parts to get and how to fix it, was quoted a price well over what i make in 6 months to fix it, but it doesn't look too far out of my experience. if anyone can help with some info or some reading on the subject i'd be grateful. my passenger side tire wobbles badly side to side, not up or down and its visibly loose in the joint by the tire, when i went to get the part they asked if i need inner or outer, lol i just gave a blank look and said i'll find out. i can supply other info as needed just ask thanks

easy fix take tire off car take nut off tie rod end .buy the new one fist so u know what your looking at so after u take the nut off u have to seperate the joint theres two ways u can buy or borrow a joint seperater it looks like a two prong fork or u can take a small but heavy hammer and hit the sleeve that the tierod sticks up thru couple of good wacks it should drop rite down dont hit the threaded part then count the number of turns that the old one turns off and turn the new one on the same amount slip back in hole put on new nut tighten to spec and put in cotter pin if required u might have to get front end aligned i would
