"83 300d Auto Trans issue
I was cruising down the highway when it felt like the car lost power for a couple of seconds, when power was restored, the tranny was slipping badly.
once stopped it would not go anywhere unless I rolled it a couple mph's.
Then it drove quite well until stopped again. Any help?

FI, thanks for the feedback. Fluid level is fine, bright, and has no burnt smell.
The contributing factor of the power loss;
The car seemed like it was out of fuel NOW. (the engine did not kill)
5 seconds later the engine is running fine and the trans is barely there.
I got off the highway to check fluid level. All good.
I had to push the car just enough, and the trans would engage (Forward and reverse)
and seemed to shift/kickdown as it should.
Would a trans with bad guts act this way? or could it be vacuum/switches?
Broad questions I know, but I must start somewhere.
Thanks for the help!
