500 SEC rear sag
I have an 84/85 500 SEC which was sagging all over and lower in the rear than in the front. I had the springs replaced al round and ity has come up but the rear is still lower than the front by about 2cm's
This vehicle does not have a self levelling device. Has anyone dealt with this problem before?

I could be the bushings in the springs. Mercedes uses high adjustment bushings in the springs on all four corners, considering the age of the car, these could be worn out and need to be replaced. It is not a DIY job if you don't have the proper tools. Also, it could be the spring themselves.
My 450-SLC has a slight sag in the rear, my mechanic said the springs are fine, but the high adjustment busings need replacement, It is not really bad, so I am putting if off until I can get the Axle Flex Disc renewed as the are starting to show some cracks. I understand the front Flex Disc is the most critical, as the tranny could be damaged if the disc fails.
Mercedes has more rubber bushings on their suspension then I have ever seen in a car. One reason they are so quiet. My 450SLC hits a bump and you hear very little suspension noise.
