300E fuel question
Hello all,
My roommate has a 1990 300E with 188,000 miles. He is convinced that it requires premium unlead fuel, which is 91 octane where we live (Colorado).
I know it says "Premium Unleaded Fuel Only" under the fuel guage, but I find it kinda hard to believe that this actually means use 91 or 93 octane.
If you need any other info, just ask and I'll see what I can find.
Oh, and for those that don't know, fuel in Colorado is different than most other states. Instead of regular, medium, and premium being 87, 91, and 93 respectively, it goes 85, 87, and 91... although I know that altitude has something to do with it since my Tundra can use regular (85) up here whereas it usually requires 87 at sea level.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
