300 D Climate Control
Hello,
I recently purchased a 1985 300 Turbodiesel. It's a great car, with over 290,000 miles on it, it still runs well and is a kick to drive. I have run into a problem with the climate control. The blower will come on consistently while I warm up the glow plugs, but it cuts out once I turn the car on. Has anyone experienced this problem? I'd appreciate any repairs suggestions.
thanks,
Harry

The blower will delay operation if you have the temperature wheel set higher than outside temperature. If thats not the case, try pushing defrost to turn on the fan then push the center "auto" button. If that works, then usually its the dash control head that needs repair and/or replacement.
