Hello:

I have a 2007 c280 that is just out of warranty (by years)--itmonly has 44K miles on it

The check engine light has been coming on of late. It is not on all the time, choosing seemingly random times to come on.

What could be causing this? Meineke ran the codes for me, and it cam eup the right bank cam seems to be retarded. Could this be due to the grade of fuel (normally we use 92 octane, but on th last fill-up--which is when the issue started--my wife may have put regular fuel in)?

Is this a common problem, and if so, how would I get it covered under warranty (like I said, currently expired by time, but well within miles)..
