My BAS/EPS light on my W163 2000 ML270CDi is frequently on, I have tried moving steering wheel from lock to lock but to no avail and I will try and locate and replace the brake light switch asap... However>>>>>> when the light is out ( it does so on its own sometimes) when I take a left hand corner slowly the ( I assume) EPS kicks in and attempts to lock up the front wheels..
The car has a few problems, we are waiting to fit a new inlet manifold, (smoking and power loss) Air bag light comes on sometimes!! and most irritating occasionally the hazard lamps come on and the door locks open and close continually, stopping the car and switching off rectifies the problem.
I love the ML and lack of funds prevents putting it into a MB dealer, any help or suggestions would be gratefully received.
