Default 2007 E350 Brake Pad Replacement

I have 20,000 miles on the car, and the brake pad wear indicator light is on my instrument display, so a few questions for someone in-the-know:

- I'm a little miffed that the original pads have lasted only 20k miles - what options are there for aftermarket pads that will perform equally, yet last longer?
- I've done countless brake jobs on my other owned cars, and I'm quite mechanically able to tackle this job myself. What cautions or specific steps need to be followed to prevent any surprises?
- I assume I'll need to replace the wear sensors along with the pads - what are the do-it-yourself steps to reset the wear indicator display? I'd prefer NOT to have to pay the dealer for either the pad replacement or resetting the message.

Thanks in advance for tips and advice!

there is no reset for the brake wear light jsut replace the sensor thats it. benzes typically get 10-15k miles per front set of brake pads. i would just go with benz brakes they are designed for your car. if you do go aftermarket dont buy cheap **** cause youll wish you didnt.

Great... thanks; they discontinued the electronic brake system for the 07's so I don't have to worry about locking the doors or otherwise blowing out the pistons, right?

Any recommendations where to get OEM pads for a reasonable price?

well mainly as long as you dont push any buttons on the remote or open any doors on the car you dont have to worry. but yes on your car you dont need to worry about that. i dont have any suggestions for you on where to get the brakes.
