2007 C230 trunk wont close

2007 C230 trunk wont close

I cant get the trunk to close, this happened one time before since winter started. The inside trunk release button is still illuminated. Any idea what the problem may be.

alot of times..the outside pull handle sticks....push back the pull handle. dirt and debris get up in the handle and cause it to stick
