2003 e320 transmission issue?
Hi all. I am new to the forum. I have owned a old 1986 300E in the past and loved it (O how I miss my W124). I am thinking about jumping back into the MB world with a 2003 E320 with 68k miles.
I went to drive it yesterday. The check engine light was on - the mechanic at the dealer said it was the O2 sensor that needed replacing (from the diagnostic hook-up). OK...
When I test drove the car, I noticed unusually slow acceleration off the line.
The transmission shifted smooth, and was otherwise fine, but acceleration was very poor indeed form a full stop
Will a new O2 sensor fix this, or is there other underlying transmission issues? Everything else seemed to work fine.
Any ideas welcome. Definitely dont want to buy a car that will be in the shop from day one. Thanks!
