2002 C230 window tinting problems?

2002 C230 window tinting problems?
Is there any published or commonly known issues that potentially arise from tinting the door glass'and around, to include the rear windshield of the 02 C230 series? Have heard of vertical scratches on door glass tint,but that can be resolved by installing moleskin on the rubber gasket inside the door panel.But really wondering about any keyless remote problems,and/or electrical or electronics issues. Thank you,

There are only two problems I have seen caused by this. One is a Keyless Go issue,which does not apply to your vehicle. The second is FM/AM radio reception and key remote range (related to the same issue). the FM.AM radio reception is poor, and the remote key range is reduced. If you use the metallic based tint then you might, and I stress "might" have a problem with the reception. I have only seen this in very few isolated cases (maybe 3 times in 10 years?). There is an organic based tint that does not cause this problem, but I think it costs more. This also only applies to getting the rear screen tinted.
I would just go ahead and get them tinted and not worry too much about anything.
