2001 c220 cdi running problem
please help - when engine is cold all is fine but when it is warm i am having an itermitent problem with power and acceleration, when press accelerator it will not kick down and there is a severe lack of power, even if you change down it will not pull
last time it happened i was on a dual carriage way and kept the throttle depressed it kept accelerating extremely slowly then just over half or mile or so it cleared and the just took off like normal, but the problem retuned a little later on a smaller road
any advice would be much appreciated
thanks eric

need a star diag for start, this models have various faults for power loss,it can be air mass sensor or inlet shut off motor or transducer for EGR or transducer for charge pressure.......the most costly would be the inlet monifold, the rest ok not bad in price so really u need a prop diag done........

thanks for that, there no faults or malfunctions on display, i know a good auto electrician i will get it hooked up and checked, but talking to a very experienced mechanic who had some knowledge of the car and he said the had been standing for well over a year said you might just need a good service
this done car seems more responsive but havn't had chance to give it a good run yet to see if has cleared problem
however another problem has appeared which you may be able to advise on: since changing the oil, when you go to oil check rather than give info on amount of oil required the reading in screen just says 'perf. serv. on time' , how can i clear this so that i can check my oil level?
again your assistance would be much appreciated
be lucky
