Default 2000 S class sat nav problem

Has anyone else found that Comand system is not picking up a signal from the satellites.. and how did you solve it? Great car, little problem as I can use my Palm's sat nav whenI put the receiver on the sunroof visor. Windows on car don't allow signal!

I have a 2002 S430 and the windshield is UV glass. A hand held garage door opener will not send a signal through it except a small 3" x 4" area low on the glass just off center to the right. It is possible your M-B has the UV glass. You may be able to pick up a satillete signal through that small area. Try moving the receiver to that area.

Many thanks Sprint, will give it a try today. Now my car (which is brlliant in every other way) has developed a problem with its Air Suspension. The warning signal "Car too low" comes on with 5 people on board, so its of to MB to get the problem sorted. I will let people know what the cause is when it given back after a small (?) donation to MB.

There is also an area in front of the inside mirror the door opener signal will work. It also is small. You might also try that area.
