Default 1997 Mercedes C200 Intermintent Engine Cut-off

Hello,

I just bought a Merc C200 three weeks ago with 101,000km on the clock. The engine runs smoothly, I have done a complete service on it, i.e. changed engine oil, spark plugs, fuel filter, oil filter and air cleaner.

It however has a problem that the Merc Mechanic in Nairobi Kenya has not been able to identify. After slowing down at a junction or at a bump...and when I need to suddenly take off, sometimes the engine hesitates and starts jerking as though the car has run out of fuel, even when the tank is full. No matter how hard I press the accelerator it will continue to jerk until I turn off the engine and back on and it runs okay until the next time it does the same thing.

When the car was computer diagnosed it pointed towards fuel injectors and oxygen sensors. The mechanic replaced the oxygen sensor but it turned out not to be the problem. What else could it be?

Could it be the fuel pump relay? Any help is highly appreciated.

I also have a problem with a C200 1997 which cuts off when you slow down as if it has run out of fuel. Leave it for a few hrs, it will start again but won't drive for long before cutting off, changed fuel pump, this did not resolve problem. Coils were changes a couple of months ago. Any assistance will be useful
