Default RE: fuel gauge sensor failure?

yes, they're not expensive even on new W211 models.

taek, did you open both tanks? does it happen on full tank too? maybe fuel pump problem already. observe the level while the engine is running...do not close the tank yet.

I appreciate all the suggestions and hope they will soon lead to a solution to my fuel cut-off problem.
I intend to fix the prolem by myself, and the instructions will be of tremenduous help.
Thank you.

Angry Mr Thomie

Dear All,

I do have the problem with my Mercedes Benz C280 w202 V6, the engine cut off when the fuel gauge reaches half, it initially start at quarter and now its on half. I stuck on the road twice.I replaced the fuel pump for the left side tank(pass side)and the fuel was full in that tank, i removed it and replace the part and refill back but the problem still persist as i stuck again after replacing the fuel pump,
I don't know what to do now, please help what is exactly the problem

thank you for your assistance
