Default 1994 E320 Wagon Door lock and console issues

All,

I have a "new" 1994 E320 Wagon, and have a few issues that I am troubleshooting:
1.) Door locks are "slow" or sluggish to open from all switches - where do I start to look for issues?
2.) The power mirror switch in the console is dead, how do I get to the switch? I pulled the rear screw yet the wood panel only flexes, wont come out - I don't want to snap this puppy.
3.) I have driveline vibration at idle at stop - goes almost away if I shift into neutral - any ideas?
4.) Tune up - what parts are needed, any FAQ on tune up, best place to get parts? I am thinking about plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, any other ideas..? Cap/rotor?
5.) I need an owners manual for the wagon - are the sedan and wagon different manuals?
6.) Who has the best shop manual and where to get?
7.) Will five spoke 2003 E420 16" wheels and 225MM tires fit?

Thanks!

Default RE: 1994 E320 Wagon Door lock and console issues

Step 1 - Go to www.mbusa.com and register. In the members section you should be able to download a copy of the owner's manual. Call 1- 800 - FORMERCEDES and give them your VIN. You can get a Service Manual on CD/DVD from them. I'm not sure of the cost but I believe the older models are cheaper.

Step 2 - Go to your local dealer and ask for a copy of your vehicles' service booklet and service history for your vehicle. Also ask for the 'code' and serial number of your radio in case you want to disconnect the power. If the code doesn't work make sure the serial number matches (maybe the radio was exchanged along the way).

The service booklet will describe service schedules and the time between service.

I have also seen the owners manual (paper copy) with leather case on eBay Motors usually going for about $40 if that appeals to you.

Routine maintenance items are available from:

www.autohausaz.com - good prices and fast service
www.mercedesshop.com - ditto
Your MB Dealer - expensive but sometimes the only source

That's a start. I'm sure others here will chime in with some of the other issues.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your 'new' wagon.
