can anyone tell me why the temp gauge on my c220 1994 seems to constantly climb while idling and does not seem to level out...car does not overheat but runs very hot...what should the guage read at normal operating temp? thanks

Is your mixture correct for the climate? When the last time was the coolant changed?

I had the same problem and it turned out that I had a hole in my primary condenser...thus causing a leak in coolant. I replaced the condenser and I have not had the problem since.
