I am restoring a 1990 Mercedes 560 SEC Which has a few seems to be minor engine problems. I was wondering if any of you know how to retrieve thediagnostic codes or which scanner I can use to retrieve the codes on this model. Thanks for any help.

 

You should be able to get the codes with any scanner with the right connection, I think, as long as your model uses a standard OBD type communication protocol. Search the forums for OBD, diagnostic codes, etc with your model or better yet chassis type. Or just ask a mechanic to read them for you. I think that I read somewhere that the dealer will read them (not positive) without charge. Some auto parts stores might read them for you. Call around. Good luck.
