1990 190E reverse slow to engage
I have a 1990 190E 2.6 4 speed auto. Reverse is very slow to engage, if you give it the gas it slips but will hook up momentarily. This car sat idle for at least 3 years without being driven. Currently it has 149,326 total miles on it. The previous owner capped off the vacuum to the trans because trans fluid was entering the crankcase via this vacuum line (???) Is this possible? The trans fluid has some evidence of metal in it.....Any information would be greatly appreciated.
