Default 1987 260E

[X(] When I start my car it start to feel like it is going to shot down. It does but when I start running it feels as though the gas is not going thrugh properly. I been told that it could be one of three (3) things. (1) the gas filter (2) the fuel pumps - in my case- (3) fuel pump relay. Yet another one, the over load relay. Could anyone be more precite in what is wrong with my car? Is there a way to test for example the "over load relay".

Thank you

Default RE: 1987 260E

[X(]Hi people: I posted a message and I do not know if I did it correctly. So, here it is again. I have a 260E 1987 and when I start it in the morning (or any other time for that matter) at first it feels as though it is going to shot down, but it doesn't. I been told by some so called MB guru? that it could be (1) the fuel fiter (2) the fuel pump relay (3) the fuel pump 2 in my case, or the fuel pump kickdown relay. As you can see, by this method of deduction anyone can find what's wrong with my MB. I thick that there is a better way to determine what's wrong with my car. What do you think?

tatiana try checking on your inline fuel pumps there's two of them i had same trouble pretty expensive parts replacement. If ever the pumps need to be replaced try to replace the filter as well..
Hope i help shed light on your problem....
