I have a 1986 SL500 (euro model). It went to my local shop 'cause it wouldn't start. They put in a new alternator but it didn't seem to be charging correctly so they tried another...then another. They can't get a wiring diagram and don't know where to go from here. They want me to come get the car and I'm at my wit's end. It starts now, but since it's not charging fully I know it's only a matter of time till i'm stranded again. Any ideas??? Or where can I get a wiring diagram?? The technician is an ex 30 year mercedes tech and he says he's contacted some of his old colleagues and nobody has a clue.
