hi, i'm new and need some help. my mechanic has replaced my plugs, distributor cap, rotor cap, rear fuel pump, and the cold start solidnoid (this process of elimination is breaking my bank) and i'm still experiencing problems starting the car. once the car is started, it re-starts without any problems until it has been sitting for several hours. anyone have any ideas. it is a 1969 280sl and once the car is running, it runs just beautifully. appreicate any help anyone can offer. thanks, john[&o]

 

I would first check the fuel pressure and check that there are also no internal leaks from the fuel injectors. also do you know your mechanic knows how to set up the injection pump?
