I run a 1990 190e 2.6 . If it was not used for a few days it did not start well at all, poor idle and did not have enough power to draw away , it would just stall. It seemed like a poor battery as if you fully charged the battery again it seemed to cure problem. I have now replaced battery and it still does the same but not quite as bad. If i run it every day it runs faultless, but if i leave it 1 day when it gets warm it hesitates on acceleration and you can just see fluxuation on rpm on tickover in drive.Has anyone had similar problems or can help me to solve problem? I replaced fuel pump relay long ago but this was only a second hand relay.
