Default 19 AMG rims with run flats-cracking

I have a 2016 C300 with the AMG package that includes 19 AMG rims with run flat tires. I recently purchased the C300 as a CPO from MB of Portsmouth. I have only had the car for less than a year and have already had to replace all of the rims due to cracking. In all my years of driving I have never had to replace a car rim. I never cracked , bent or blew out a tire due to hitting anything in the road. I honestly can't even remember having a flat tire. Since I have had my MB with the 19 inch rims and low profile tires I have experienced tire trouble on 3 different occasions. I am afraid to take the car anywhere due to the rims easily cracking. I have been stranded on 2 occasions from rims cracking. MB denies there is any issues with the rims. The best they did was offer $500 dollars towards the replacement cost of a rim. The rims are $1500 each, crazy. Has anyone else experienced any issues like this.

Default 19 mag rims

Saw a pothole. I felt it didn't look really awful and past the point where it is possible to turn. Off-base, a couple of moments in the wake of hitting it I see check tires... 15 psi in rights. snaptube vidmate

Default My 2018 AMG E43 Rims have Cracked and Bent Repeatedly

I am sick and tired in fixing and replacing the front rims and tires of my 2018 E43. These 20” rims are made out of cast aluminum alloy and they are not strong enough to handle the weight of the car at the front axle. As a result, they keep bending and cracking under NORMAL driving conditions on California streets. These 20” cast aluminum rims when are paired with stiff run flat tires (this is how the car is sold. With run flat tires and no spear) they will crack every time. What I do not understand, is how Mercedes is putting out such a Very Low Quality product that is downright dangerous and refuses to own the problem. I am furious with them and about ready to file a lawsuit in federal court. Enough is enough with this conduct by Mercedes. I own three Mercedes cars right now but I will not be buying another one in the future because of the low quality of the product, the very high prices of parts and lubricants and most importantly, the refusal of Mercedes to stand behind their brand and to take care of this issue with rims that are cracking that everyone is complaining about.

Today I went to the dealer and I asked to get some transmission fluid for my 2008 E350. Guess what? The parts guy at the dealership told that the car takes 9 quarts of 236.14 Mercedes Transmission Fluid and that they cost over $40 each!!!

So, Mercedes wants over $40 for a quart of transmission fluid, but refuses to acknowledge and fix the major problem that they have with wheels that crack every time that they run over a dime. Instead, they choose to blame the driver, potholes etc.. Totally unacceptable conduct in my opinion and this is why I refuse at this point to buy another Mercedes.

I had the same issue.I had to replace 4 rims under normal driving conditions. Mercedes is terrible at customer support when it comes to the AMG rims.

Default Terrible is an Understatement

I am getting ready to sue them in federal court for this. They are absolutely horrible at handling this issue and this is because it costs millions of dollars to recall and replace all these problematic weak rims that keep failing under normal driving conditions. Instead, they want you and me to dig deeper in our pockets to buy new rims from them at $1200 to $1500 a piece that will also crack and bend after some use, or to force us to go out and buy strong aftermarket forged wheels that can support the car at our own expense since their wheels are garbage. Only a court can force them to address this problem and I plan to do just that soon. I am furious with these people.
