Default 04 CLK tranny slipped out of gear help!!!

Hey guys,

I was driving yesturday and I was making a right turn on a ramp going to enter the highway. I accelerated a bit and the tranny was going to down shift but it just went into nuetral. The car revd to the redline and I pulled off to the shoulder. I put the car back into park and then Back into drive to see if it would catch and it did. Then went back on the highway and it was working fine. No lights came on or anything. Then today I started it up and it would shift just a bit harder between gears. Is this a problem that I should be worried about or is this just a fluke rare occurance? thanks guys

I take it that the CLK is of W209 chassis? If so, go to your dealer, there is an Engine/Gearbox update that fixes this. The update adjusts the Torque Curve required for driving.
Common problem, i've seen it a few times with the 722.9 Transmission!
