Disconnect MAF sensor and drive vehicle to see if misfire goes away... might take a few attempts to start engine with Maf disconnected but it will start... if misfire goes away suspect MAf sensor/circuit...

I would replace the crank position sensor. I had the same problem with my ML320, changed plugs, coils, wires and injectors all with new but could not go above 4000 RPM without triggering multiple misfire. I was then blaiming exhaust back pressure (bad cat. convertor) on one side (left cylinder bank #2&4) because of the high millage 160K and MAF sensor was clean without any codes about it. Now is fine and the fault is not comming up even at hard acceleration. Also bad throttle body position sensor can show multiple misfire code ( according to my Star manual).
