Default My "new" 350GLK 350 4 Matic

Anxious to get my Benz in the next few days from Pasadena, CA. Not too long a trip from Albuquerque but had it shipped just because. Anyway, I see that many are complaining about the sunshades that barely block the heat and sun when closed. I'm going to try this: awning canvas shaped and edged for the two glass panels. Thin enough to prevent interfering with proper operation, thick enough to cut down on heat gain. Plus it would look like 60's roller tops! (the canvas is on the outside) Plenty of color choices, mine is Cuprite Brown with the Almond interior and it would be easier to match the Almond color. An attractive contrast and applicable to any car. The only downside is not being able to see out the roof with the shades open and glass closed. A small sacrifice for the advantages listed. Any thoughts or warnings? I'll be sure to get pics for you.
