Found a clean 99 e300 turbo,elderly owner,new tires,42,000 miles. Anybody got an idea what this car's worth? Is 17000 too much?

 

For a '99 E300 with that low mileage I'd say you arein the lower range of the current retail price. If the car is in good shape(which it must be with that mileage) and if it has goodies like the Bose stereo system and sunroof you probablyhave an excellentcar for the money.

Make sure to run a CarFax to check for accident and flood damage.

The only option the car has is smoke silver paint. No roof no bose and needs washed and waxed. Drove it today and was pretty impressed. Got the fellow down to 16500. Although i hardly use a moonroof i'm kinda hung up on the lack of it but still prob worth every penny-?

hapa-i did get the car its bionic smooth and quiet.the older fellow took pretty good care of it. ihad the oil changed with pennzoil 15w/40 and replaced the monster oil filter that looks like itbelongs to a freightliner! realizing more and more every day what anice benz i have it just needed washed up and vacuumed. light years beyond my beloved 85 jetta turbo diesel.
