hi i have just bought a vito 2.2 110 cdi on an 02
i got it as a none runner the guy said it was getting harder to start the would not start then the starter just started to click. he said its had new filtter and heater plugs
i got it home and replaced the starter then hit the fourms 1st thing that came up was the injectors. so i got the tools out and started the investergate
the van will run on easy start but die when it runs out which tells me its not getting fuel
ive traced the fuel back from the injectors when i crack an injector pipe nothing comes out i got down to the High Pressure Fuel Pump and nothing is coming out of that, this tells me the pump is not working. the thing that is confussing me is on other fourms people are say it will bump and run when the pump is not working (it will just not start) this dose not happen for me.also so i had to buy a hand primer and pump the fuel from the line that goes to the tank up to the filtter. im now ready to go and buy a pump looking at about £120
would like some advice before i do

Have you tried the rail pressure sensor seals these are very common on these
You will have to prime the fuel filter as these do not have a pump in the tank only the hp pump
