I have an 81' 300d that recently had the driver door messed with by a locksmith. Now the key will turn, but the door wont lock.
Is this a vacuum system issue?
The simple thing would be to get this locksmith back to fix the issue, but I think he has no idea what he is doing and I don't want further problems.

Please share your thoughts- I am no expert, so tell it to me gently. Also, I am in socal (los angeles), does anyone know a mechanic here who is great with these older diesels?
