Default Vacuum Diagram Questions

The vacuum diagram I have, shows three lines coming out of the Central Plug. I only have one line coming out and it goes to the Thermovalve, which then goes to the EGR.

The diagram shows another line going to the Vacuum Control Valve and the third line going to the Vacuum Pump eventually. I don't even know where to begin hooking up the other two lines.

PS. The pink index cards are labeled to help me learn what each item is. I'm going to put a picture on the back and make my own Diesel engine flash cards. Lol

Hi Steven - I wasn't able to find a diagram for you, but I am attaching a link to our site's DIY tech articles on the W123 platform. I hope you find this useful when doing maintenance or repairs on the car. If you have any questions regarding the procedures, feel free to post a Comment just below the article and one of our techs will get back to you with more details. Hope this helps and best of luck!

Default Vacuum repairs for shifting

so where do I begin to work on the rough shift from first to second, and the last really rough shift, when shifting down to stop?

Is the vacuum system one big system, or separate ones?
understanding this vacuum thing is confusing!
