Not really a "diesel" question but who else to ask? My 1999 E300 came with an OE casette tape deck w/ car phone. I replaced it myself with an OE (European) Radio/CD player (Becker 10?? I think I uploaded page 1 of the manual). Trouble is, there's no way to directly connect my iPod. I have tried using those dorky gadgets that broadcast the iPod output to an unused radio station but all the ones I have tried stink. Is there a way to rig up a direct connection? Can I do it myself? I am mildly handy. Can I get somebody to install something to facilitate this? Something short of an entirely new stereo? Or if that's the best way, something that will pop in like the OE models?
