transmission sometimes will not upshift from first
Hi,
I just bought a 1984 300sd. The transmission Some times will not up shift from first gear. I found that if I stop the car on the side of the road, put it in reverse (I don't have to drive in reverse, just wait a second till reverse engages), then drive, it shifts fine for a long time. I do this about twice a day. This doesn't fix the problem but at least I can drive it. I will change the transmission fluid and filter it two days.
Anything I more I should do?
