sprinter van

Default sprinter van

i have a sprinter van 1996/7 automatic 412d desiel. the ecu thinks the van is always in park or neutal and wont rev past 4000rpm when you are in gear and cannot find the problem i have replaced all the sencers and replaced all the fuel line pipes and still have the problem could anyone send me a wiring diagram of the sprinter van or know where i can buy one ?

I am going to make a guess. On most vehicles with an Automatic Transmission there is a Neutral Safety Switch. The normal function of that switch is to keep you from starting when the Engine is in one of the Drive Gears.
However, such a switch could also be used to tell the Computer if you are in Park or Neutral. So, if the switch is bad I could see that as being a possible cause of the problem.
Again on other vehicles if the Shifter Linkage Bushings are worn they will not move the switch correctly.
I am also thinking that there must be a Forum for the Dodge vehicles that might have more info.
