Should my glow plugs take this long?
Hey-
I've got a 75 300D that I just bought, and it seems to take 2 or 3 minutes for the glow plug light to go out before I start the engine, even if It has already been running for a while and I'm just starting it up again. It's not specific in the manual about how long it should take for the 300D. The section of the manual that was made for the 240D says that that car should take at most 30 seconds. For 60 degrees weather the time my car takes seems like it may be excessive.
Anybody know?
