rebuilding engine

Default rebuilding engine

i have rebuilt engines before and was wondering how hard it is to get rebuild kits for mercedes diesels? thoughts? i have read that the 350 gets bent rods? what about rebuilding? or do mercedes owners just do not do it themselves? your thought gentle men. i think it would be fun.

i know it is not a kitchen table type of thing, but than again when i have a block sent out to be line bored ,decked a bored over 10 thou, a machine shop that specialized auto machine shop, i was wondering why diesels are different?

why can't you replace the rods if they get bent? i know there are points of no return, it is just hard to believe that it cant be done......

so why not buy a set of over sized pistons and have the engine bored? metric motors rebuilds the engines so it seems that you could have the engine bored and then with the knew measurements bet new pistons, rods......it just seems like 6000+ and your core justs seems like over the top?thoughts?
