what is about the best motor from the 617 that will still bolt up to my 4 spd, or are the block designs all the same?

what is the most reliable and powerful motor that i can get? or are there even I-6 motors? im not really familiar with the m-benz engineering. primarily what i would like is fuel economy, horsepower, and drivability...all in one.

what about swapping for a 140 chasis.it is a great chasis, what woyld be the best motor?

 

the engine out of a 300sdl....would the performance be the similar?
