Default R134a refrigerant conversion

I am converting my '79 300D from freon 12 to 134a refrigerant and I need to know how much refrigerant oil this system requires and what type, PEG or PAG oil, and if PEG what viscosity, thanks in advance, Paul

Big mistake in my humble opinion. R134a is not designed for your R12 system and will eventually liquefy the dessicant in the dryer and sieze your compressor. Best to use a CFC-R12 substitute like Enviro-Safe or AutoFrost. These refrigerants are 100% compatible with your R12 system and will coexist peacefully with any remaining R12 oil in your system, and will not damage your components or seals.
