Power Steering Pump Housing Bolt w/Stud
Aloha. I'm looking for a bolt for my 1974 240d (aka Ollie). It screws into the vacuum pump housing and has a threaded stud on the opposite end that accepts a strut that secures the power steering pump housing. In other words, it's threaded on both ends. This is what the Mercedes' Classic department wrote when I made an inquiry there:
Hi Patrick,
The part you are looking for is on backorder everywhere with no ETA. I haven't had a request for this part in at least 15 years. There is no accurate parts illustration of it either, so most people will give up trying to find it. The part number is A6150520071. When you look at the part illustration of this in our electronic parts catalogs, it looks like an ordinary bolt. But it is actually a bolt with a stud on top of it. It was used on 220D, 240D and 300D with power steering through 1976. It was also used on 1968-69 250 and 280S gas models. So if you want to try to find a used one, these are the cars to look for. Good luck!
Kind regards, / Mit freundlichen Grüßen,

Any help anyone can give would be most appreciated. Ollie and I are stuck on a rock in the middle of the ocean (Maui)...lol

Many, many thanks. The PM function doesn't seem to be enabled, so here's my address for all to see (I'm not shy...):
