iam brand new to mercedes i got an 85 300d for free i worked for my uncle
the front end is wearing tires quick the passenger side front is only on the outside edge the driver side is looks isnt wearing i any certain spot but is wearing out fast. it drives good though . it has 183,000 miles is that a lot for a diesel car.
unfortunatly it has power everything with the exception of the seats &mirrors
the lights for the buyttons on the consol dont work the sunroof dosent work ican motor whirring though but im not sure im pressing the right buton the air conditioning dosent work i think its the butons though

 

183K is nothing for a diesel. Especially an 85. (Sure the speedo has always worked?) My 85 300D rolled over to 262K and (until tonight when I goofed up) has been in excellent running condition. Electrical stuff like the buttons and switches you are talking about didn't work on mine when I got him either.

 

thats good then what are the differences between the 300d 300dl 300dls
i know only the basics about this car i dont really know what button does what but i kind of have an idea how hard is it to fix the sun roof
