just found out a minute ago that mbusa will be selling a whole new line of diesels again in the usa!!!! SIX MODELS- THE WAGONS AGAIN. After ten years of only ahving one model diesel, they are finaly back on the road again with the diesels. FINALLY i am very excited to see how these go. I ownder how they will copete with the TDIs..... MB diesel are the best cars in the world, ever, they run for 500K+ miles.

I, personaly, am very excited. I will admit that a) I am nowhere near close to rich enough to afford a brand new benz diesel, and b) I like TDIs better .

but the nice part is taht....

in like 15-20 years, tehre will be more "old" mercedes diesels just like the ones from the 80s that everyone is crazy about now

 

just saw a new 2007 s class, s550, nice interior and exterior...........hopefully in 08 or so the v8 diesel hits the s class. it will take me about 15 years to afford one......but if there anything like the 80 s early 90 s ...... they ll be around a long time.

 

I would love to see the V8 diesel also.

Yeah no kidding i'd like to get a perfect condition 90-91 350sdl (aka. the rodbender) that needs a motor and but the V8 diesel in it.

I hope for ur sake it isn't but that is what that model is know for and thats y people tend to stay away from it. I know of a guy that is a diesel mechanic and when the motor in his parents 350sdl went he put a fresh built 300sdl motor in it instead.

 

know plenty of people with the 90, 91 350sdl, never heard of a rod bender problem........guess mine will be first thou the way my luck runs......... any idea s on mileage when this happens?
