Default New to Diesel

Hi, Just got a '93 300D 2.5 Turbo. Wondering if anyone has any comments on the model, i.e., reliability, mileage, satisfaction with the car? I had done a bit of research and it seemed like a good model. Have not picked it up yet. I did notice the lenses over the fog lamps are cloudy, are replacements available? Thanks in advance..
Phil

Used to own 92 model.
For people putting lot of miles, not too many better cars on the road. Averaged 36 MPG @ 70 MPH. Someone is selling one right here. After 300,000 miles had few gaskets to replace, but made it drip-free.
The headlights door seems to be MB constant issue. Plastic doesn't like sunshine.
You can buy replacement. ..... after you refinance the house.

I bought DEPO after market Euro headlights. They are a very good copy of the original Bosch lights and feature all glass lenses and come with bulbs and vacuum beam adjuster. I bought mine off Ebay for $260 It took me a couple of hours to install. New Bosch lights are around $500 to $600

Change oil every 3K or 5K if using synthetic oils. Change fuel filters twice a year, brake fluid changed/flushed every 2 years, transmission fluid every 15K, air filter twice a year. Good luck with your new ride, hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine......
