I just got a 85 300td wagon with 133,000 miles it runs fantastic but curious about how many gears the car has cause my tach doesn't work (trying to fix if anyone has a tip or two) and it just seems to sound like its reving high at 65mph if there is any one who can help it would be greatly app.

 

that's great thanks I am going to ty hard to figure out whats going on with the tach but for my ear not being use to hearing 5 cyl im unsure but it sounds close to 3 thanks a lot for your help
