Default Mercedes diesel source?

This is somewhat of a duplicate post. I could not delete my post in the E class.

I am not a mercedes owner or enthusiast BUT, I do know they have great products and reputations.

I am building a 20' mahogany runabout boat, and would very much like to have a good performing powerplant that is 1)light 2)efficient 3)somewhat powerful, and 4)under 10000$.

I recently read up on the new Bluetec 3.0L V6 diesels in the Jeeps / Mercedes E320 and GL320 and am very impressed. I would like to know if there are any Mercedes salvage yards in North America (preferably around Toronto Canada) that may have some write-off 320s.

(EDIT)

I have been doing more reading since last night and it looks like there are many powerfull diesel powerplants that come in small packages such as the S320 and S400 CDI engines. It's all oh so confusing! So many cars and engines!

I am assuming an S320 or S400 would be much cheaper than a newer Bluetec. So WHERE can I find one? Is there a Mercedes salvage in North America, or maybe someone who can source an S320 or S400 CDI engine?
