Hello All,
I have the opportunity to pick up an early w123 280e that is a 4 spd car for cheap. Just wandering if the manual drive train can be mated to a OM617. I will likely part the car out but would like to keep the running gear if it can be used in the a 300d. Thanks in advance.

Not without cutting the driveshaft to the correct length and finding a flywheel for your engine. 4-speeds and swaps are common from a 240D.
