Default Maintenance

Ah, well, the '74 240d is now at an actual mercedes mechanic, as I've become frustrated at the very simple repairs I was trying to do. The question, now, is this: Aside from changing oil/fuel filter, and the occasional valve adjustment, what else needs to be done service wise on the old Mercedes? Do I need to have the pump adjusted in any way? What other tips can everyone provide?

Default Didn't know that!

Good to know about the injection pump - just regular engine oil? The guy I took it to came highly recommended by another import car shop. He works pretty much exclusively on Mercedes, Porsche, and BMW, and specializes in the older models...seems to be prety reasonable too. We'll see how it goes. As an aside, started another thread, and am curious as to your input! I'm sure you'll find it. As always, thanks for the wealth of information!
