I have an 84 300D Turbo Diesel. If I'm driving lightly through town, once in a while I'll feel and hear this big jerk coming from the transmission. Other than that, it runs perfectly. Anyone know what this is right of hand?

 

you may start by checking the oil level first... engine running and in "P".
