Help! Need part # for Tach repair

Default Help! Need part # for Tach repair
Greetings Does anyone know the VDO part number for "control module black brain box thing" that mounts on fender well and controls the Tach? My car is an 83 300D. Many thanks in advance for your expertise and information....

PS...is you know the official name of this part, that would be appreciated also.
